EMC quantum over cedar?

Post by tarpontv on Tue Apr 14, 2015 10:02 am

I have used the clear qunatum on a front door that is exposed to sun all day and seems to be holdin up very well. I am considering putting it on a deck surface that is cedar and rough sawn cedar on the edges. Basic deck paint doesn't hold up for more than a year.

Any thoughts?

Hi TarponTV,

Thanks for posting.

I have used it on "rough" wood and it certainly seals it up. Below is a picture of two coats on my surfboard racks in the garage. I think if you dont go too heavy with it (dont make it slick) it would hold up better than any other coating I can imagine using. Maybe test a small area ?

My front door is also coated with the EMC clear. Very Happy ...

Yes Sir! We have more EMC on the shelf here that anyone south of New England Very Happy I have the primers/catalysts/reducer/accelerators/additive and a good inventory of the most popular colors. Also have the ST clear in stock.

Shipping is free on orders over $150 (so pretty much any paint order will ship for free)

There is also an introductory offer going for this month, 20% off - use coupon code "EMC"
